Ever thought of giving up ? You have had all you can take and "it's" throwing another tantrum. You have started off speaking to him / her, then trying to reason it all out, then you start to raise your voice, then it turns into a shout and then the screaming match commences.....  Been there ???

I have too. I have a 6½ year old boy who has been medically diagnosed as having ADHD and ODD. He is currently on "Ritalin" a prescribed drug that helps him cope with his disability and is getting all the help possible from the LEA, the school and more importantly his family, me, my partner, my  parents, my friends.

This is Adam here, all smiles.......

He is currently going to a local Judo club, which helps him with his temper and control. It also gives me some time out too..!!

He is excellent at Judo most times but still needs that extra help to see him through an evening. The Judo instructors are very good at coping with ADHD kids although they maintain the discipline at all times.

This is me, Lisa and Adam. Taken last Christmas, you can just see the Christmas tree in the background.

"I must have been good this year 'cos Santa has left me all these presents" Adam screamed as he flew down the stairs on Christmas morning. I must agree with him, he has been getting better and better due to a number of things. Support, time, love and balanced medication; and Adam knows it himself...
